International Travel will be opened from July 15 in Mauritius Island

 


Mauritius will be opened for International travel from July 15,2021. The Island will be opening in  Phases during 2021 and the first phase from July 15,2021 to September 30, 2021 will enable Vaccinated travelers to enjoy a resort on a holiday.

Travelers will be able to enjoy the facilities with in the resort premises, Including the swimming pool, beach and other activities. If guest stay over than 14 days and have a negative PCR test report during the stay in the resort, they will be able to enjoy the Island attractions. However, For shorter stays they may leave resort earlier and travel back home.

Travelers to Island aged 18 years or above must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.They must undergo a PCR test between five and seven days before departure and a negative result is required to travel to the island. Travelers will also have a PCR Test on arrival at the airport in the Island and on seventh day & 14 day test will be done at their respective resorts.

For Phase II from  October 1, 2021 Vaccinated Travelers will be allowed entry without restriction upon presentation of Negative PCR Test with in 72 hours before the departure. Unvaccinated travelers will be subject to 14 days of room quarantine for both Phase 1 & Phase 2 until further notice.

The announcement follows the Speeding of the vaccination campaign and the progress made towards herd immunity by the end of September. Front liners of the Tourism industry were given preference first during the vaccine roll out.
